Fireworks in Geneva

Geneva spends millions on its fireworks display which happens around the beginning of August to commemorate the beginning and end of Fetes de Geneve. These images are from the fireworks display taken   for the 2014 show. There is a different theme each year. The theme for 2014 was 'Time' which was sponsored by  Patek Philippe. 

We gathered on the lakeside to watch the fireworks. In total there were over 600'000 people there, more than the number of people who live in the Canton of Geneva. For an hour we concentrated on the stunning display of fireworks in the sky.

My advice to any people thinking of coming to Geneva. Come for this. It is by far an excellent  fireworks shows and I doubt any other country puts on a better display.
