From our hotel we could see the city sprawling below. We were lucky to have such a clear day and so Mount Fuji was visible. This only happens during the winter on a very clear day when there is no humidity.
The Tokyo Tower was my favourite landmark of Tokyo. It is discontinued as a telecommunications tower so in effect it is retro and now serves as an exhibition centre and as a landmark in its own right. From our hotel I would try and find it amid all the high rises. But it was not until I was right close to it that I realized how stunning it was. We were lucky to visit it at dusk just after the sun had set and the sky was a dark blue. I love this picture. It's Gold on Blue.
These actors were leaving the Kabuki theatre near Tokyo Tower. I loved their costumes so I ran up an asked them for a picture. They were happy enough to acquiesce.
