Cyprus in September

Kellaki, Cyprus. The bed is a family heirloom. It used to belong to my great-grandmother and she passed it down to my maternal grandfather. They stay there when they are visiting Cyprus from London.

Limassol, Cyprus. It is the second city but feels more like the island's centre. Limassol seems to set the rhythm for the whole island. I never liked living there when I was younger but now returning the city gets better and better... or perhaps I appreciate it more. In any case I love seeing the changes take place such as the skyscrapers going up or the promenade being re-built.

Limassol, Cyprus. Ayia Napa Church as seen from the Promenade.

Troodos Mountains, Cyprus. Another UNESCO Heritage Site are the Monasteries in the Troodos Mountains. The Priest was so kind as to let me take a photo of him when I asked, although he asked me for what reason. But I think this is a wonderful photo.

Paphos, Cyprus. Tomb of the Kings which is a UNESCO Heritage Site. Well worth a visit but make sure you take a bottle of water with you and light clothes. It was very hot.

Paphos, Cyprus. Tomb of the Kings.

Limassol, Cyprus. A midnight swim.

Omodos, Cyprus. Loukoumades at a village fete.

Lefkas, Cyprus. It was around 5pm and we were tired. We did a loop round the Troodos Mountains to get back to Limassol. This was from a watch tower on Lekas. This was just near the Green Line that decided the Republic of Cyprus from the Occupied Areas.

Pedoulas, Cyprus.

Petra tou Romiou, Paphos, Cyprus. This is Aphrodite's Birthplace.
